Frequently Asked Questions:
Why is juice so expensive?
When you consider what's inside of each 16oz bottle , approximately 3 pounds of freshly pressed fruits and vegetables, and the process involved in production, it's actually not expensive at all. We have found that most people don't mind paying a few extra dollars once they realize what's included in the juicing process.

What is the cold press procedure vs regular centrifugal juicing like I do at home?
Hydraulic cold press juicers operate via a masticating method to produce a superior juice to their centrifugal counterparts. In contrast to the rough extraction and high speeds of centrifugal juicers, cold press juicers operate at lower speeds and gently compress fruit and vegetables to ‘press’ out their juice. While more costly, their slower and more thorough extraction rates produce a higher-quality juice, and more of it. Lower speeds means less heat is generated, preserving more nutrients and enzymes.

Why does this juice look different from my last purchase?
Safi juices are handmade, so at times variations may occur. Only additives can prevent the natural settling process. Our juice has no additives. Shake well and enjoy! Juices that contain ginger and sweet potato may have white specks in the bottom of the juice bottle. Not to worry! These white specks are vegetable sediment, which naturally settle to the bottom of the bottle. The Pineapple or Apple juice may vary in color, from gold to yellow-green to pink to brown. Depending on the harvest and growing season, there may be differences in the coloration of the juice.

Why do the ingredients separate?
All of our juices are made by hand. Without additives or preservatives, the natural settling process will occur. Just give your bottle a good swift shake and enjoy.

What is the shelf life?
Safi Juices are ground then pressed gently with a minimum of air mixed into the juice (minimal oxidation). Juices may be refrigerated in sealed, containers for up to 7 days with little, if any, loss of color, flavor or nutrients so stock up. Think of the convenience of drinking juice from the refrigerator instead of having to make it each time. You can also take juices with you when working or traveling.
FROZEN JUICE:
Most juices may be frozen for several months. Some of our ingredients are seasonal and difficult to keep on hand for frequent juicing, so they may become unavailable at times. Be sure to thaw under refrigeration to retain maximum nutrients.
